Primary Sources in Philippine History

how to use primary sources in teaching Philippine history, and where to find them

What can you find on this site?

Why primary sources?

  • Many students consider the study of history as boring and uninteresting.
  • Use of primary sources enliven history and allows the student to experience vicariously (i.e. through reading) what others experienced as they lived through history.
  • Simply put, use of primary sources puts the story back in history.
